I was asked to design a frivolous
and cheeky little cocktail number
for a summer bride.

The under dress is made of shot
silk which is very fitted. Over this
is a lace dress with cleverly cut
panels that hug the upper body
yet swirl out at the hem. This is
embellished with tiny delicate
bows of grosgrain ribbon and
twinkling, swarovski crystals in
lilac and amethyst. The dress was
worn on a beautiful hot sunny
July day, and the crystals glinted
in the sunshine.

A built-in corset was made to
clinch in the waist using spiral
bones which subtly change the
figure yet are comfortable to wear
for dancing well into the night.
